Choosing to ignore the impolite version...

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, and I hope you choose to do so again in the future.  Any decisions or opinions I have regarding games are my personal ones, not those of the server - you are MORE than welcome to stick around, advertise for other gamers and what have you.

Speaking from experience, in terms of campaigns tanking (yes, I've been in a few) - it's not a nice feeling, no, but it's better to discover incompatabilities early on than it is to get a solid foothold on a story arc and THEN have people bail.  It's just a game, some people decided this game wasn't for them, we've learned and are moving on with our lives.  No big deal.  }:D

As for that personal opinion?  Aye, that linear format wasn't doing much for me.  Being told what my character was doing at various points irked, especially when it clashed with the character itself.  I'd also suggest working a little closer on chargen to promote sticky - for instance, making sure we all had a reason to respect Prof. Smith and be in London.  Or asking us all to be students of the parapsych field so we all had an actual interest, something along those lines.  Several of us (besides the obvious) had no real reason to be there in the first place!

Anyhoo, that's that.  To sum up: sorry it didn't work out, glad you're taking constructive criticism as just that, hope to see you around in the future!
