Today, I go to put my cat to sleep. She's as old as I am, slightly older - which means she's at least 21 in human years. It's amazing that she's held on this long. But she's a siamese, quite venerable and humanocentric in her old age, and she is so very laidback... there is not a time when she hasn't been a part of my life. Today I lay another piece of stability to rest; I destroy some more of the already-fragile fundament that keeps me sane. Fuck. |
