i think video games have SURPASSED joseph campbell by adding a TOTALLY BRAND NEW ARCHETYPE:
u no what i meen:
"EVIL-BEHIND-THE-EVIL": u vanquish ur ultimate foe, but suddenly it is replaced with a totally new foe twice as big and twice as ultimate and twice as foe!!!!!!
this happens in like every game and every cartoon involving battle and sometimes mb in real life (like u crush WILL CLINTON or GEORGE DAD BUSH waiting in shadows behind them jumps out HILLARY or DUBYA--50 times more evil than their predecessors and 8 feet tall 2 BATTLE SLICE U WITH SINISTER MANDIBLES!!!!!!)--but are there any instances of this happening in earlier epic literature or mythology or any pre 1950 literary work whatsoever?!!!! |
