-Met a very attractive photo developer at Eckerds.
-Spoke with her and found out she was equally attractive in terms of intelligence, integrity, humanity, imagination... and also a stripper (as her night job). -Came back later to pick up finished photos and asked her to dinner and a movie. -Am accepted. -Had a date with a stripper; spoke on many things, had fun, lent her books. -Gave her a ride later on in the week, met her sisters, had immense fun convincing them I was Santa Claus. -Time passed. She never called. -Eventually gave up and called on her again to get my god damn books back. -Got my books back (except for one, which she insisted on giving me money back for because she thought it had gotten a little battered). -Lent her other books, borrowed some books... she and her family are too damn nice. -Read books, returned. -Still haven't received books back. -Still haven't been called. -Future plans: to go over there sometime within the next month and get my fucking books back (again), and this time the Silent Burglar steals no more. She is a wonderful person, someone I am quite attracted to and would love to be friends with, but a one-sided friendship holds all the appeal of a colonoscopy for me. Sorry, girl - you had your chance. Maybe someday you'll realize that some people just might be interested in more than your breasts. -Letter: E |
