i think both 1 and 2 are probs with specific distributions not linux itself
sadly i dont kno which distro solves both probs so i still am a lose. my suspicion is by doing "emerge rsync; emerge system" every day with gentoo i am less vulnerable than windows, but who the poop knows?!! btw i have decided gentoo is an impressive technical feat but utterly useless unless your life is configuring stuff so linux is now off the list of things proxy runs until i pick a new distro
its like a catch 22 windows is secure expart like tobot but it is also only thing nonexpart is able to use
except os x which actually seems bettar than both linux and windows 4 secure right now but i dunno and ne way nonexparts dont feel like spending $$$ on computer so mac is out unless they get eMac mb |
