Propritary audo formats sucks the big ones. files by the name of .saf stand for Secure Audo Format. I do not like this. .saf can only be played through cheep and bad winamp hack, and cant be put onto CD. lame. because i demand the utmostr flexzor in my audo files, and because winamp delivers like a pizza boy, i must have .wav (ok) or .mp3 (good) because I am lyke that. i sat and pondered the .saf files i had, and how to transmute them into .mp3 files, expecially seeing as i do not have my philosophizer stone handy.
Solution struck me like a 2x4 to the head: creative recording centre came with computer, had a "What U hear" option! thus, I simply play incoded files straight through, record what i hear (directly from speaker buffer)break into discrete audo .wav file chunks, and reincode to .mp3 file using Xing incoder! take that, legal control! incoded audio is in the hands of the enemy! therefore it will not be incoded long!
