Run through a monochromatic world in this fast-paced work of animation. :In this story, a young relay runner sprints witha message of hope (the red baton) to save the world from eternal darkness. We used linear methods to create an animation with action scenes in a 2-D comic strip style. We hope that the speed of the athletes, the tension, and the refinement of the competition come through in our work. A spiritual message in a floating world. :The film is about that state of mind athletes enter when they are at the height of their physical and mental abilities; when the athletic act becomes a trancendental experience. My faourite part of the film is the moment the figure punctures the water's surface. This shot is really what the film is all about. It is the start line, the finish line, the line between reality and infinite physical and mental possibility. Video art as beautiful as a kaleidoscope and filled with tension. :This work opens with a pumping heart and drumming beat. Following the primitive rhythms of life, man's most basic energy, adrenaline, flowing like golden lava through the darkness. Hypnotic spiraling patterns are created by repetition of the frame content. Repeated viewing should make you feel the adrenaline rush inside you. Futuristic film shows that the souls of athletes will never change. :This short movie, which we filmed using both 35mm and digital video cameras depending on the scene, tells a futuristic story about the nature of Olympic athletes in 2095. 91 years later, one thing about athletes has not changed - not their bodies, but their souls. No matter what each new era brings, the souls of the athletes will never change. A strong visual message expressed using the Pei-Bell Effects developed by the artist himself. :All the colours in the spectrum run, dance, jump, swim and fly to celebrate the joy of human motion. In this work, personified motion whispers its inner thoughts. Thank you for giving me the opportunity and the great honour to create this film. It was a joy to work on. Graphics and music fused in a new style of painting-inspired film. :Rather than focusing on the human form, as has been done since the ancient Greeks, we wanted to focus on the beauty of the motion of the human body through space. We were inspired by Futurism in painting and Oskar Fischinger's beautiful ballet of shapes to develop new techniques that were complimented by syncing the graphics and the music. Female runners race from a miniature world into the real world in this work of stop-motion animation. :Female runners dash through an unrealistic world in this work. It expresses the movement of running with a looping feel. 7-15cm photographs of a runner are captured on film at 60 frames per minute on a tabletop set. In the last two cuts, life-size photograph panels were placed on a street and filmed in stop-motion animation. Mariko Takahashi's FITNESS VIDEO for being appraised as an "EX-FAT GIRL" by Nagi Noda FITNESS VIDEO Fun fitness movie catering to both art and special make-up. [Artists' Commentary]:This video expresses the joy of exercise. My theme was a fitness video that anyone could do easily at home. While I was trying to find something that both adults and children could enjoy, i saw a poodle with it's "muscle-like" hairstyle and I thought, how about a girl with muscles in the same places? I hope you will watch this during the Olympic Games, work out, and become happy in both mind and body too. Untitled by koichiro Tsujikawa Untitled A running person or a moving machine? An animated character of in cinematic feel. :We created an imaginary character called yakudo-kun who runs and exercises; his name is based on the theme yakudo-kan, "lively movement". Although a digital video, we filmed it with 35mm film lens and DVX100A, I think that viewers will feel a film-like texture. Using the latest compositing software, my staff and I had a lot of fun making this video and that makes it all the more better. Capturing the sensation of being an athlete by using new styles of expression. :Our first inspiration for this challenge was to think of ways to capture sports in a fashion unseen before. The "first person from someone's back" view was so difficult that our biggest worry after coming up with the idea was that it may be too radical for people to watch. by carefully choosing moments and creating a continuous motion, the human eye and brain adapt and help attatch one shot to the next. We feel that the most successful achievement is creating a sensation of being part of the action and a tremendous sense of momentum. |
