ahh, i understand.
The larger the number of random points chosen, the more accurate the results ought to be? the fun thing about random numbers is their inherent randomness. what would you take to be a good number of random guesses?
also, how do i decide how tall to make the box? i can understand that the length of the box is determined by what section i want to find the area under the curve for....
wait... just thought about it... the height of the box should be the highest point within the area i am trying to sample, right?
i think i may try writing a program for this soon. |
