the problem, i think, stems more from my innibility to appreciate that colors are made from different colors mixed. being raised on digital apperati has made me unable to think in terms of mixing: to me there are simply certain colors and you fill an area with them.
i do use paints on occasion in my art class. i just hate my innibility to transform what i see in my head into that i see on a canvas, and i lack the patience to do it right and learn how to make my mind match my hand. or something.
i am not saying digital art is the only approach, it just seems to be one i feel like exploring at this time in my artistic evolution. |
