heh, I remember the "1486" game, though I thought it was actually in the 1440's. That was way back in '98. I think it was the record for over a year. Since then, it's probably been broken easily over 25 times. Not including those purposely set-up "15-letter word" games, which could reach over 2000 with a little luck. [Does anyone remember a TP from a long time ago named Whit?? While typing this, I just thought of her for the first time in years... she was into those 15-letter games.]
Anyway, 1500 has been broken only three or four times, and the 1600 level has been broken only once (1601), my finest hour. OK, actually it was a joint effort between myself, LJ, and MJ. :-) That game was an example of a not-so-good start (had to play 3 S's in the first triple-triple word!) with a great comeback involving a 10-letter word (100 bonus points!), and the Z on a DLS tile. It's been almost 18 months since that game (March 25th, 2001), and we've never even come close to beating it. I think it'll stand forever. Had to brag... heh.
As for the "great Scribble outage", did you buy the house and start the family *because* of the outage?? ;-) Tom7 would be proud... in any case, congratulations...! :)
