I can answer that question:
There is no conflict between the principle of entropy driving things forever towards disorder and the concept of evolution. Evolution, as Darwin envisioned it, does not rely on principles of self organization. All that is required for evolution to occur is that all organisms are competing with one another. Those that are less fit have less progeny and are therefore excluded from contributing to the future of their species. The individuals who are best at replicating will replicate most and out compete other individuals of their species. This is all that is implied by natural selection and the same idea can be applied to life at the molecular level or the ecological level. Death happens. Natural selection is actually an inevitable consequence in any system that has individuals that are self replicating.
