max, we no that it is impossible 2 measure distances below a certain size (also time), the planck length. so that is not gonna work!!!
u can say things like, "this number is the number of all the possible sets people in the world" ... that's 2^6,000,000,000, which a ultrafinitist surely rejects! Though the uf man says that sure, u can talk about and write down this "number" as an abstract object (even in binary or decimal this is feasible)... it really only 'exist' as a abstract object and not as an actual number. numbers only xist if u can construct them by counting in unary |
