Important Legal Notice Regarding Adam Knight Promotions

Singing News has, over the past few months, received a number of complaints about Adam Knight Promotions. Mr. Knight has promised clients that he would run ads for them in Singing News and has taken payment for those ads. Adam Knight has never run an ad in Singing News. He does not have an advertising contract with the Singing News, nor does he have any other relationship with Singing News. On March 10, 2004 Mr. Knight was asked via e-mail to cease and desist using the Singing News name in his business activities. He was again asked in a phone call on May 19, 2004 to cease and desist using the Singing News name in his business activities. On Sept 2, 2004, our attorneys sent Adam Knight a certified letter, demanding that he cease and desist using the name Singing News in any of his business activities.
We have also received numerous reports that Adam Knight has not performed other services, including booking of concert dates for artists and providing artists with reports of which stations are playing their songs, for which he has received payment. At least one artist has obtained a judgment in small claims court against Mr. Knight for breach of contract.
Adam Knight promotions is not the only promotion company on which we have received complaints. Please be aware that not every company representing themselves in the Southern Gospel community is reputable or accountable. Before committing any monies to any company, get and check references, check with the local Better Business Bureau, and call Singing News to find out what we know about the company. This is just good business practice.
Also, please be advised that Singing News is not associated with any promotions company. Anyone who claims such an association should be immediately suspect.
