The city has taken the initiative to upgrade the city’s street lighting system by replacing the typical “Cobra-Head” fixture to a newer and more efficient lighting head. The efficiency of the new fixture will improve illumination, save energy, and reduce costs. In addition the design of the fixture reduces unnecessary glare thus reducing light pollution to the night sky. -mgmt
