some of u had a prob where u wanted to use violence to hurt people who were themselves hurters so that we could reduce the hurt% of world like (u kno Bentham, Mills, Singer those Anglobores are always trying to do )
problem--once add a "hurter" hypothesis to your beliefs, you begin to have "Mean World Syndrome" where u see everyone is ur NME!!!!!!!! SO U START 2 KILL ALL THE TIME KILL KILL KILL oh sacre blue even i get carried away
also this mean that **VOUS** are ALSO a hurter and others applying this same system can also hurt vous!!!!!!!!
anyway, it's pretty simple just make the "x is a hurter so u can hurt x" rule linear and BOOM u will have these problems under KONTROLL because u can kill only a limited number of times before i have to fly back to starfleet to get more murder hypotheses
this works in other situations--like if some guy is asking me to count the lights (four lights, u Cardassholes!!!!!) i can use my "this is really uncomfortable so i can tell this guy whatever made crap he wants to parrot back" hypothesis a limited number of times. i just take a bunch of those hypotheses with me before spy missions and hand them back at debrief--integrity fully intact, because i only betrayed myself linearly!
