The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - Sixth Edition (DSM-VI), published by the Armenian Psychotic Association in 2029, is the main diagnostic reference of both Organic and Synthetic Mental Health professionoids in the United Biology Districts of North America, with the financial support of concerned corporations like Boeing Lockheed Inc., Time-Space Dynamics Inc., and TOBEX Super-Inc.
DSM-VI marks a signficant change from DSM-V-R. Some disorders were no longer considered as such (for example, a diagnosis of Cybernetic Asexuality is considered robophobic, while psychophysical textbooks warning of Entropic Mind Cancer are considered unaccepting of alternative thermodynamics.)
Notable additions include Consumaphobia (refusal to consume additional TOBEX products), Oracular Syndrome (inability to be unable to perform Super-Turing computations), Tele-ethical Inhibition (insensitive to infrasonic behavior improvements), and Virtual Acquaintence Projection Introversion Disorder [VAPID] (compulsive desire to put oneself into virtual reality situations involving one's friends and relations).
This list of changes is incomplete--any assistance from this esteemed city council in naming other ommissions from the DSM-V or additions to DSM-VI would be most appreciated. |
