i heard a guy say another peep (possible sheep) was "estimable" and i totally got confused between estimable/inestimable meanings
estimable: 1. worthy of great respect
2. can estimate
inestimable: 1. cannot estimate
2. too valuable to be measured
so they are opposites except when they are kind of the same |

there's an infinite number of people for you to fool
they all start out FOOLED (SHEEPLE!)
after each unit of time, ONE sheeperson WAKES UP
FACTS in this totally, totally plausible situation:
you can (and are!) fooling ALMOST EVERYONE for 100% of the time (cause after any finite portion of time only finite sheeple have woke up, infinite sheeple still sleep)
BUT not a single sheeperson will be fooled for most the time--in fact, every sheep will be awake for almost the entire time (because each sheeperson wakes up after finite time, stays awake for infinite time)
I call this LINCOLN'S MISNAMED PRINCIPLE: uou can fool most people all of the time, but you can't fool anyone most of the time. noncommutative! |
