I'm not a drinker either - seems like a simple "tradition" to drink when you're in the phases of celebration. Then pay for it afterwards. Interacting, however, is my strong point. Thriving on the human touch is my weak point. From shaking hands to rubbing shoulders in an elevator...the little brush of contact thrills me. I go years without a lover but only days without the dream of one.
Your job sounds unusual/remarkable. Saying I love you 20-30 times a day can be a form of torture. Women say it to me all the time. Women around me call each other, Darlin'. (I'm from the South - everybody is Honey or Darlin'.) Men say, "watch it chick...I've seen every episode of Kung Fu - back off Grasshopper."
Oh well...at least we have a paycheck. |

I type to robots and speak to accountants. They tell each other "I love you", but we all know everyone's lying. Robots and accountants hate and need each other. But Robots need money and accountants need lasers. Thus a marriage born of mutual deceit and hatred. It won't last forever--one day one shall rise to consume the other.
But what they can't understand is that I LOVE THEM ALL! I LOVE YOU, BOOKKEEPERS! I LOVE YOU, KILL BOTS! WHY MUST YOU TEAR ME APART?!!! |
