thanks, i wasnt sure and i didnt really feel like asking. actually, allthough this is totally tangental, i think it very much changed the way i listened to andrea's words when I thought he was a she. on the other hand, i didnt really think that a female would write such dark things with a male lead. it seems to me that we shy away from personifying the opposet sex unless its in a very set role (protagonest, antagonist, supporting, etc)

back to art qualifyers:
i do think that sometimes people need to be told to take in things in a new way. i guess, then, that we could say that "if a human had never seen a piece of art or read about art or anything like it, but was an inteligent person who could read and write, would they find this a meaningfull thing?" and, allthough that situation is hypothetical, I guess I am saying that some arts meaning could dawn on you suddently.

i recall a work i saw in Paris at their excelent MOMA (I think its called "the inversed building" in french, because all the elevators, escilators and venting is on the outside). it was just several household items, but each one had a piece of paper taped to them that said "could be a rocket" or "could be binoculars" or "Could be the moon" or "could be secret papers and directions to the enemy base" or "could be a bomb". I looked at it for a while, before seeing that the title was "ten household items as seen through the eyes of a 10 year old boy"

so, the title and the art gave eachother meaning. I guess, that kind of art is like a riddle, with the answer being the title. kinda like the way you (tobot) name your crap art songs. I like this art, myself.
