Yeah, kind of. Hopfield networks are never likely to be sentient, but the whole neural network idea falls under connectionist AI.
But I have too many things to do at the moment to be able to focus properly on anything. In a couple of weeks I'll only have one thing to do. And then maybe photos... writing... reading, wow! And only one job to do! Heaven.
