I Reeeeeeeeallllly tried to stay out of this one but I can't. I too loved the neighbor - in the biblical sense and with my wildly corrupt emotions. It's been 5 years since the "encounter(s)". He still lives there and voila - we have become the truest of friends. (Alas, no more great sex.) ~~~BUT~~~ the real reason for this response is to say WOW...I don't know any other men willing to hang out their hearts like you have done. How can I applaud you without kissing up (save that for the neighbors). Better to be capable of painful affection than to be a cold fish. If I can see it a gazillion miles away in the flattened world of black and white then someone else will see it in your eyes. Trust your instincts and hold on! It's gonna be a bumpy ride. |
