No, I don't want a discussion of this stuff based on neurobiology. That's all very interesting, but it's not useful from a practical standpoint.
Where DO we form these disctinctions, and what ARE they based on? I don't think we have an intuitive knowledge of our own neurology, to the extent where we can intrinsicly differentiate between 'left-brain' activity and 'hind-brain' activity.
How much is language-based? How much is aquired socially? How much is experiential?
