given circumstances: of people and places, of mice and men. How should you behave towards a friend? Towards another friend? What should you do to succeed? What is the right thing to say? The wrong thing to say? Big brothers, older friends, parents - many people have had at least some source of inspiration as to the answers, but I had to learn by trial and error, and there are many things I still don't know and don't understand.
dreams: the failure of the universe to allow for my existence. There are no dreams worth remembering.
fallacies: that you will be failed by others, and frequently. It is not a question of if, or even when; it is a question of interval and frequency, how long until the next one hits?
beds: the boxy thing with the sheets and the mattress. I'm too big for a single and too lonely for a twin, and I never made my bed. I had the responsibilities of a bear among wolves, and whether or not those sheets were squared off seemed an inconsequential thing. I was right, too!
