Tom7 - some suggestions

As a 'newbie' again, but probably your most prolific player for a few years, I'd like to express some thoughts before I become 'biased' again lol.

First - on the Sico game, I'm not sure if you have done so yet but it'd be ideal to have 2 sections -

for example

Games 1-5 would be labeled perhaps "beginners' or "for those who don't need valium"

Games 6-10 could be labeled "experienced players" or "for those uptight pro's"

Now I'm not suggesting that anyone can't play ANY of the games - just that it might help the envirnment if there were sections like that - I think it'd would cut down on tension... and perhaps if your really energetic you could toss in an invisible game 11 and 12 (like ya have in scribble....)

Now, about the scribble 'expert' boards... I was one of the best scribble players here ever I think - I was around before the hidden boards ever happened... and I was pretty intimidated to even post a word back then cause all the team players were playing 'up there' - now here's my problem... I think people dissing, labeling 'webtv'ers' or 'aolers' or anyone else is just as bad if not worse then someone 'gasp' wasting 3 s's on a 5 point word.  I think ever effort should be made to completely disallow people doing that here.

Labeling a group of people because of what ISP (aol or Webtv) someone uses is wrong and causes hostility.  I think you should consider putting in big bold warning at the top of the scribble area that this will no longer be tolerated and after 1 warn ban anyone who does it for X amount of days.  I don't know how much of that I did back 'then' - I do know I came up with the word TP - to try to STOP the bashing of others (in other words rather then referring to others as this .. or that..lets just refer to US as team players...)

Now onto another subject, I've noticed a few 'experts' are using a anagram generating program, and if that's how THEY want to play and it's agreed to by the other players they are playing with then it's just another form of the game... but frankly I like to play without a dictionary live, and without an anagram program online.  I'd like to suggest a 17th game set up for people using those programs... and ask that they limit the use to just that board.  I suppose people will still continue to do so on the other boards but unless it's an agreed upon style of playing I'd think of it as cheating, and while I wouldn't CALL them on it, we'd both know - if you know what I mean?

I just think there is still alot of skill and strategy involved even if one doesn't have to think up the words themselves, in figuring out the best placement and so on... but it takes away from the game when people use those without it being agreed upon in the first place.

Well I have a lot more to say but I am sure this post is getting very wordy, so that's it for the moment.
