Tom - I agree an anagram program is yet another form of the game, I just think a sepearate 'game 17' or something should be set up for those people... I mean I played a 188 point word and even THAT was not good enough for them.. they restarted the game on me TWICE! I just think that 'expert' area was intitially set up for those of us who wanted to play as a team, and now it appears set up for those who won't take any word not generated... sigh.
Sorry I think 188 point word is just fine myself.. they didn't apparently and restarted the game. It's just a game and it's all fine but still - why not have a 17th board so those who care to try to use the best strategy using an anagram program can play on that board and can play with thier brains and wits on the other boards? I dunno I just felt extremely intimidated personally and that was never the intention of the hidden boards, at least not to us - it was just to play a team game... you know? My point about sico - is that some people get dissed for 'messing up' a game when in fact they are just not as experienced... if there were two experience levels then that would help that... I don't know if your a chess player or not but trust me if there were a buncha chess boards out in a public park - there would need to be a few designations. Anyhow just a thought. I feel a tad uncomfortable with what 'scribble' has become in that the hidden boards used to be FUN for team players not just a few who are dead set to have a perfect game even to the point of restarting it on the FIRST word with a 188 score... I just don't know if those who are down there realize how totally intimidating it is for those of us who are not as perfect as they are... having the hidden boards totally helped release the pressure building here back then but if they are going to expect a anagram-driven perfect game eery time I think there should be one special board just for that purpose. Well - I love this board always have and I will if I choose to stick around - change a few attitudes around here as I did before...kiss** |
