Cylindrical Chess

A couple of us thought this up 30 years ago in college:  Standard chess board, standard piece placement, only change is one of perception... imagine that the board is a cylinder, instead of flat.  The  starting line of pawns becomes a ring, and unlike #15 "Bounceshops", the pieces may continue straight-line movement onto the otherside of the physical board.
