Huh, that's weird. ;)

I checked the logs, and nobody has played b14d.oy in the last log cycle -- at least a month. I'm guessing it's some kind of input validation error; a typo that caused it to compute a2d instead of b114d.

The fact that there are words on the exact other side of the board might be the cause. Scribble might think it is 'linking up' the word oy with those (wrapping around)---'mo', 'ay', and 'fay' are words. I don't know what the state of the board is (do you have an archive link?) when oy was played, but it's possible.

But I just tested this and you can't wrap around normally. It must involve the strange input. It would help if I could find it in the logs; can you guys tell me the approximate time/day that it happened?

There are still bugs in the web software; I thought I've fixed all of the memory-corrupting ones (leaving only the hang-for-thirty-seconds one, which, I think I know what it is but I haven't been able to fix it yet), but there may still be something that causes the software to screw up in bizarre ways every once in a while.

Thanks!
