Now, now -- the rules state that the game can't include myself or Laura ;-) I was just so glad he/she played co-operatively. He/she came in at around the halfway point, when we were starting to see that this game was gonna be *really* good. If he/she hadn't played with "team spirit" (hehe), I would've been in a bad mood the whole week, wondering what could have been ;-))))

Interesting... not a bad idea, I'd probably put in links to all 1700+ games at the time (right now, only 5 -- 1796, 1715, 1711, 1709, and 1701). :)
I know I always say "we're never going to beat this, ever again", but we're really getting close to the limit of what's possible, barring perfect tile order (i.e. start with 10-letter word, all premiums on DLS's, etc.). This time I'll admit that 1800 actually seems do-able, barely. :-)
