2000 points? In theory, perhaps. In practice, not in this lifetime. The highest trip sum ever was 1426 in that 1885 game a few days ago. The highest non-trip sum was in this game (586 points). Even if you combine those two values to form some kind of "mythical perfect game", you get 2012 -- just barely over the mark. It just ain't gonna happen. Although, if anyone wants to dispute that, they're more than welcome to prove me wrong... hehe.
For any regulars who want a trivia challenge, find the mistakes (sub-optimal plays) that were made in this 1943 game. I see [at least] 5 potential points that were missed out on...
