There is a small section about this type of game in the expert guide. Go here --

http://www.geocities.com/janssenchimica/scribble/notable.html#cheat

Look at the games posted there... in some of them, I basically outline how 15-letter "triple-triple-triples" (hehe) are done. Deni's outline was basically right -- you just pick a "compatible" 15-letter word before you even start. By "compatible", I mean one in which 5 or 6 letters in the word can be played (not on a TLS!), before laying down the remaining 10 tiles all at once. Like for the INCONSIDERATELY game, I made the words "ONS" and "ERA" in the proper positions first, then waited for the remaining needed tiles to show. The key is that none of these "sub-words" can fall on a TLS, or the whole "trip-trip-trip" concept is ruined.

But, I beg to differ about what Deni said -- it actually doesn't take a lot of strategy. The conventional "four-trip" games take much more strategy than this kind. The main problem with the 15-letter games is that you're eventually forced to dump one tile at a time, which can be a big problem with tiles like C and V, etc.

It's just a completely different style of game... if you guys started playing this type of game, I'd start a separate "Top 20" (or whatever) for them. A nice way to get in the expert guide  ;-)

Take care, she who has the meretricious IP. (Look it up. heh.)  :-))))
