I don't believe that at all. I feel the same way alpha does about those who, it would appear, make plays *only* to void others' plays. And then don't respond to chats questioning why these plays are made.
You may be able to call it a challenge but I don't see how anyone would think it's fun to have set ups ruined. And I'm not talking about when someone plays a word that isn't eight letters on a triple. I'm talking about making it impossible for anyone else to try. As has been said before no one has to adhere to the eight-letter set-up style of play but when plays are made seemingly for the purpose of messing with others' plays -- with no explanation of why (the absence of response to chats is what convinces me these players are malicious) -- is not fun. At least not to me. |
