Actually, you might belong in them, as long as you stick to the standard "four trip" type of game and read the chat, which I know you do. Putting premiums on DLS's and scoring 1700+ points repeatedly isn't a requirement for being there.

Laura, myself, Nick, Whit and so on used to play the standard "expert" type game, but just played whatever words we had at the time, without waiting for super-high premium-DLS words to appear. We never scored 1700+ doing this, but such games are definitely appropriate for the expert games.

Just try to find someone comparable to you to play with. Just playing expert-style games repeatedly will probably net you average scores of at least 1200, and it's good practice if you want to join the "nutcase" club in the future -- the three or four players who consider 1500 points an embarrassment, and anything under 1700 a disappointment (you know who you are... hehe).  ;-)

Truth be told, I would like to see one or two more 'super-experts' arise... the Top Fifty List should ideally have games from more than three different people  ;-)
