Tom, I thought of a new statistic that could potentially be put at the top of the Muddle page. It would basically be a measure of how close the overall percentage (16.9%) is to changing.
Let A = #words currently found
Let B = #total words (found + missed)
Let P = next percentage (would be .17 here)
Then the stat, "X" = (A - PB)/(P-1) . Currently, it's equal to around 21,000 ... meaning 21000 straight words would have to be found without any misses to hit 17%.
Could something like this be implemented or am I completely nuts... heh. As X approaches zero, it would be a nice indicator of how close the next percentage change is. :-) |
