Games 15-17 are the EXPERT games, and they are not to be played in the same manner as games 1 -14. They are called EXPERT games for a reason.
If players would respect that the EXPERT games were created to be played by EXPERTS, then they would probably be completed. However, certain players play the EXPERT games in the same obstructive manner in which they play games 1 - 14, and when that happens, the players wanting to play an EXPERT game shut them down. Before the troll invasion began, there were only 2 EXPERT games; since players respected each other and the basic tenets of the games, only 2 EXPERT games were necessary. After the troll invasion, however, when there were 14 games being played as if this were Scrabble, not Scribble, I asked Tom to creat a third game so we had more boards that could be played without intrusion. Now that the trolls have invaded the 3 EXPERT games, they have 17 boards to destroy, and those wishing to play a game to obtain the highest score possible have no boards to play, they -- including me -- have only one way to fight back, and that's to shut down a game on an EXPERT board as quickly as possible when a troll has reared it's ugly head. To find the EXPERT games one must read the EXPERT guide, so there's no excuse for someone ruining those games other than sheer meanness, since they know the reason the EXPERT games are there. I realize that closing out a game probably delights those who do not play according to the EXPERT guide, but it still makes me feel I have some control left, even if it is just blowing in the wind. |
