I'm pretty sure banning by IP is not an option as IP addresses are dynamically assigned/reassigned and as such could result in unintentionally banning someone who was reassigned an IP that was previously banned.
And banning by host name (e.g. proxy-3257.bay.webtv.net.) for WebTV users has the same problem as they are dynamically assigned. |
