How about connect4?I love that game. Not sure it really goes along with your guidlines though. It is easy to learn which is good.Individual moves are only really satisfying as part of a larger plan but then that's true of chess too.

First thought: Reversi? The rules are pretty straightforward for that, and well-known too. On Snoot, it would work roughly like SICO (successive players alternating black and white), but it would keep a Scribble-like total score. The score would increase each turn by the number of tiles turned over by the current move. (So the total score is the total number of black-white/white-black conversions.) That would promote collaborative play quite well, to get large scores. I might suggest a board size of 10x10, say, to make games slightly longer for "SIRO."

I suppose you could do dominoes too, although I don't think that's too popular these days.

Finally, I know this has been done before, but a whiteboard-style collaborative drawing page would be fun. Actually, maybe that's a really bad idea as it would fill with rubbish quickly.

Mancala! I think it's African. It's where you try to get the most stones on your side... has anyone else heard of this? I know it's a traditional board game but it's lots of fun.

What about a Poetry thingy - like your Story thingy? You know where each person writes a verse of the poem?

Just a thought.

Argo.

Well that's what it was called on my computer. LOL

The way it was played is you get X amount of letters. You have to make as many words as you can. 4 letter words were worth 4 points, 5 lw 5 points, 6 lw 5 points and so on... if I remember right my game only went to 9 letter words and you got 11 points for 9 letter words. (jump from 8 points for 8 letter words)

I can't for the life of me remember how many letters we got but I THINK it was 13 letters.

I'd say if you can do this idea it'd be really neat to have it layed out like this

Game 1) 10 letters
Game 2) 11 letters
Game 3) 12 letters
Game 4) 13 letters
Game 5) 13 letters
Game 6) 13 letters
Game 7) 14 letters
Game 8) 15 letters

If you want more info on this game I can rack my brain some more. I know it was extremely fun and addicting LOL
