In defense of the expert players...

In my defense, it wasn't me & LJ this time, it was two of our acquaintances, but anyway...

The problem is that WebTV's IP set-up apparently contains only four different IP's for the entire country ;-) I know that's not really the case, but it appears that way here. I wholeheartedly concede that there are some WebTV players who have a very good knowledge of how to play cooperatively for points, examples of which can be found in the archives. I have no problem whatsoever playing with these people. If you are in the above category, I apologize...

However, another set of WebTV users has taken it upon themselves to purposely destroy any game which they see is headed in a good direcion. Because we can't distinguish the expert WebTV people from the others, the whole domain is looked at with suspicion. I'm not going to tell you outright to switch Internet providers, but it would make identification easier...

As for the whole "giving up" dogma, I don't know about you, but the three other people I play with are all about points. When someone starts off an expert game with the word "ASS" (happened just recently, I can find the exact game if you want), we're going to give up. Any chance of the game reaching 1250 or higher, is shot. Yes, maybe it'd reach 1000, but 1000 is *so* four years ago... hehe :-)

If you want, I can post a simple set of rules that the expert players follow. Probably five rules or so. If these are adhered to, there will be no need for us to give up on games... End of story.

Thank you for the courtesy of a reply.
Please understand, as much as webtv
subscribers would like not to be lumped together, it is not always in one's best interest to get another internet provider.
I would appreciate reading your rules, it could possibly make a difference.
