With all due respect and admiration to the King, I have always thought that the expert games are too quick to dump a premium letter when it can easily be set up, especially a J.

alpha, when you have those double O's - or any vowel FTM, try to set it up next to a TLS or DLS, so that the higher scoring consonants can get doubled up.  When the rack is full of consonants, look to all the colored squares first to see if they are already set up, but try not to use them unless you can make 2 words.

Failing the set-ups (either making them or utilizing them), look in the "corners" where words intersect.  Placing a letter in a corner scores double points for that letter.

About the 3-letter set ups, many times there are 2 letter words "inside" 3-letter words and it's better points-wise to start with the 2 letter word and build it up in subsequent plays.

You're doing a good job, alpha -- feel free to ask questions anytime.  We usually only see sarcastic "Why did you do that?!" questions, but I would welcome questions about my plays, and I am sure other scribble players would, too.  (lol, and there are times you may be wondering why I made a play, and I am wondering the SaME thing!)

Hope this helps...
