I don't know what prompted this tirade (hehe), but can't say I disagree. :-)
Along these lines, I have a minor suggestion. In the "beginner's instructions", how about removing the paragraph where it tells how to access the... uhh... "downstairs". I wrote similar instructions in the expert guide -- it only makes sense that the only way to access you-know-where should be by reading how to do it in the expert guide. At the very least, we'll be assured that anyone playing there at least clicked on the link and looked around a little hopefully. As it stands, there are a select few who come down there thinking it's "just another game". No, I'm not talking about you, BadPenny. heh. You at least know how to play "1500-style", I'll give you that much. ;-)
Anyway, whaddaya think, Tom The Seventh (tm)? :)
I do know the guide does a lot of good for some players... I saw this played yesterday:

Such a play by "that IP" was unheard of a year ago, especially with the added chat... LOL. I don't recognize the handle, but whoever you are, you rule... :-)
