It's addicting isn't it vicki? Glad you are enjoying the games. And please disregard all the negative, nasty comments made by some players. I usually do.

Hi Vicki,

You're playing some nice words, but before placing a word try to think of how it impacts the board - don't just put down the first word you think of, think how others can play off that word, and try to use the premium tiles (high score tiles, like q, z, j, x) on the triple letter squares (both pink and blue) to get maximum points.

The hardest thing to learn in scribble is to have patience, to wait for better letters, or better placement of a word/tile. It's hard to have patience when others don't and mess up what you're waiting for, but use the chat to let other players know if you see a word coming that can make some high points.

Also, if there are only 1 or 2 vowels in the rack, try playing only consonants, to get more vowels, and vice versa. But just because you open a game doesn't mean you have to play a word!

Lastly, try to make set ups - words that allow high scoring words to be made on the triples. 'ave' at H2, for example, can become save lave have rave, etc on a word from H1d or H8d. And the longer the word on the triple, the higher the score.

These aren't rules -- there aren't really any 'rules', just an objective: for everyone to work together to get have a high scoring game -- but they work!

It sounds like more work than fun, but it's a lot of fun to make a high scoring word - much more so than just plunking down any old word you see.

Have fun.
