Laura and I (and Tom) might be the only ones that remember this, but back in 1998-1999 this site used an expanded dictionary with some British words included -- QI was one of the words it accepted, and yes, it was a lifesaver back then.

Other two-letter words I remember it taking (that no longer work) were:

ZO, OI, and EE (!).

The expanded dictionary was replaced with the standard OSPD3 (or whatever it's called) after Snoot went offline for most of 1999. Nowadays, such words aren't as helpful because some of us wait to put premiums in the trips, but QI and ZO and whatnot might be helpful to the noobs  ;-)
