No, then no one would realize that there's a more refined method of playing than placing random words in completely random positions. Why certain people never get tired of playing this way is beyond me...

Everyone knows that no one comes here their first time and starts playing 1200+ point games immediately, myself included. I had to be taught by various 'experts' way back when. The basics of expert play are really not that hard to learn (though some intricacies take a long time to master), and nowadays it's gratifying to be able to play as well as I can. I assume others are similarly pleased when they play their first 200+ point word, or their first 1200-point game, or whatever.

All that being said though, I personally rarely play in games 1-14 except for a play or two here and there. Usually it's just an excuse for me to say "nice one Kellypooâ„¢ " or "nice alphypoo" or something... hehe  :-)

I don't play in the expert games because I am WISE enough to know that I DON'T BELONG in them!  But, I try to improve my game by THINKING about how my word will impact the board and the subsequent moves of others.

There are players (like GuestBarbie and southy- whether he uses his name or not, and other players) that constantly  start with board #1 and go through to # 14 using EVERY S along the way and ruining or blocking every trip or set up that they can.  And they NEVER change nor try to  improve their game. They have, at one time or another been spoken to 'nicely" by others  as to how to improve their game. They have ALWAYS ignored kind suggestions as far back as I can remember.                                                                    Since that didn't work,  people, like myself, have spoken with them directly and frankly out of frustration, hoping to 'embarrass'them into playing a better game.  Apparently they were too stupid to get embarrassed, and so it goes on.  I am NOT giving up playing because of them, nor will I sit here biting my tongue in frustation.  I will vent to those that continue to use this so called "different level of play."  Why must I simply "accept" their bull... and say nothing in return???
