They're also different scenarios because if you have a program that tells you all words for a given Muddle board, your ability to score high is based purely on luck (i.e., how many high-scoring words the given board may contain).

In Scribble, even if given every conceivable aid available, it still takes a certain skill to be able to play an exceptionally high-scoring game. I'd bet that if everyone was given the exact same game as the first place (1943) game, including the exact same tile order, most people would not be able to score over 1600 or so even with anagrammers or whatever. There's a lot more to the game than blindly following a set of rules.
