Actually, I'm pretty sure this isn't true... WebTV's system constantly "morphs" their users IPs from one of four numbers (3001 thru 3004). The same player can have any one of these addresses at any time. That's why sometimes a "webby" can't make a play after a different webby, but it also explains that a single WebTV'er could conceivably register 4 quits in a row. Not quite 6, but it's close...

Well, briefly, in 1998, there used to be 15 regular games. I remember substituting "16" in the game number just to see what would happen, and it turned out that Tom had made a hidden board (for testing purposes, I think) that no one was supposed to discover. Eventually, word of this hidden "Game #16" spread among the "TPs" (team players was what we were called then), and that was the beginning of what would become the expert boards.
Remember all that, Tom? :-) Good times... hehe.
