thanks and I am glad not to be involved...I don't have any relatives or close friends in that city. I am at least a 1000 miles from there in the top 1/3 of the North Island, in Auckland.

PS - I just briefly checked the Alaskan Quake which doesn't look great either. One of my facebook friends took some pictures of her home, which is partially damaged and one of the photos she was taken of some broken china is all blurring - an aftershock when she was taking it caused that..
