I was very sorry to see Otto go. I hope he does check back from time to time. The boards aren't always controlled by those trolls. |

First the trolls turn players away.
Now you're making me dislike the game even more. If it's not having to try and make a set up or watch the boards get ruined after making a set up, then it's you making snide remarks left and right.

hi, thanks for asking. the spca rescued 140 dogs about 3 weeks ago and most of them are in new homes. then about 7-10 days ago, they did another rescue of 246 dogs and they just had their court date yesterday, and were awarded custody. so now they are busy spaying, innoculating, and for the dogs that are severely matted, shaving them while they are under anesthetic. it's good that most of these dogs have been smaller dogs (chihuahuas, jack russels, daschunds). the first rescue had dogs with a pretty good temperment. the second rescue, on the day i went, was still pretty scared. i go on tuesday afternoon to work with them again. not sure what i'll be doing. you can read about the rescued animals at www.spca.org. i try and donate 20-30 hours a week at the spca. i mostly clean cages and walk the dogs. i am also an adoption counselor and will help people when they come in looking for a doggie. don't play too much with the cats since they are so self-sufficient. thanks for asking and look forward to playing some scribble. :-) and you can email me at just_for_otto@yahoo.com |

An Idea: Game Schedule |

Let's all let bygones be bygones.
How about we schedule a time to play a game or two on the board? Then just play around the trolls. Don't attack one another. Maybe it will catch on, maybe it won't.
And here's a novel idea, have fun and play scribble.
I'll bring my best to the table.
(Let's try and keep this thread positive and not turn it into a flame war or rant on trolls.) |

I wish to sincerely apologize to the cooperative, great players of this website for comments I have made TO THE TROLLS if my "word selection" offended you. I enjoy playing with you and others that actually try to play in a cooperative fashion, so I would have no reason to try to insult or offend the great players here. I am sorry.
But, I do stand by my comments to the trolls. I DO NOT apologize to the trolls for anything I have said to them in the way of insults or unflattering comments. Every bad play the trolls make to ruin a game insults me, and I simply returned the favor.
I realize that playing the game well around the trolls can be troubling to the trolls and we all try to do that- that is, play our best around them. But that is hard to do when the best word that can be made is a five letter word after the trolls have decimated a game.
Whatever "joy" the trolls get from ruining the pleasure of others playing a game is SICK! |

If you type something in the chat box, it will be saved with the game so that others can read it. It's nice to make suggestions for future moves, complain about your draw of tiles, or just make friends with the other players. It's not nice to berate other players for making bad words, etc. (though they probably would appreciate your suggestions if made nicely)!

Scribble is a Cooperative game |

If all players were required to use a name instead of blank or Guest, there would be no misdirected comments aimed at the specific webtv players who are ruining the games. There SHOULD be chat and comments directed toward players who are not following the basic rules of Scribble, just as there is chat and comments directed toward players who make a good play. I am not offended by the remarks I’ve read on the message boards tonight. Nowhere on this site is it posted that this is a “family friendly” site. Scribble is a COOPERATIVE game. If you choose NOT to follow the rules of cooperative play, you should be advised in the chat on how to play the game and to read the basic instructions, and if that doesn’t work, then your play should be blocked. I know that it’s almost impossible to block a single webtv player, but there has to be a solution to the problem. Angry words directed at inconsiderate players are the sign of people who love the game at the end of their rope. I am also tired of the uncooperative play, so I backed off for a couple of weeks. I’ll pop in on and off when I have time, but I’d love to see the uncooperative players step up a bit to learn the game and see what kind of fun it can be when played the way Tom intended it. |

I can't believe what I am seeing on the message board lately. Do you people have nothing better to do than use that kind of unnecessary vile language? I am sure there are websites that would appreciate that kind of talk. |
