Cheating

Maybe you can explain the difference.  When you use an aid on Muddle, you are accused of cheating.  When you don't use an aid on Scribble, (not being able to make these ridiculous 8-letter words), you are accused of being a troll or not "saving" the TLS.  Why is it you allow, if not encourage a helping aid, i.e. A2ZWORDFINDER.COM, on Scribble, yet ban someone from playing Muddle for using some sort of aid.  And if it isn't allowed on Muddle, why is it so on Scribble?  And it is, because if you asked most of these people to use the 8, 9, or even 10-letter word they have just made in a sentence, their response would probably be, "Huh?".  That is before they had a chance to look it up in at www.dictionary.com.

Not too long ago. we listed Q without U words, so how about some 3 letter z words that don't start with z? I know the all powerful adz, adze, azo and biz, but are there some others? I'm sure I've forgotten some, or there are some I don't know.

It'll take a while for another 1900+ game to occur, but I'm doing my best to expedite the process...   :-)
1900+ Again... Second Place! :-)

This was helped along by the ever-rare 10 letter start... otherwise, probably would've ended up in the high 1700s or very low 1800s.

10th place!  :-)

ok, it's not an official Top 50 game for obvious reasons, but it shows that the "double-15" game is definitely do-able. Try to beat this game for a nice challenge  :-)))

to 'nance' on playing expert games

nance, you appear to be a new player -- i saw your name & IP only an hour or so ago - yet you are already playing the expert games.

Please do not play the expert games unless you follow the expert guide. See the post to YSI on this same topic below. You played joys on a trip for 40-some points, for pete's sake! That is definately not following the expert guidelines.

There are only 3 expert games, set up by Tom for the experts -- they are called EXPERT GAMES for a reason -- and you are certainly not an expert scribble player at this point.

Please play the regular games and leave the expert games for the experts.

It just amazes me at the absolute cruelty of some people. It makes me wonder what kind of people they really are. I came on here last evening after what has been the worst couple of weeks of my life. Everything I own was stolen from me by a viscious storm called Katrina. My home, my job, EVERYTHING! I am thankful however my life and the lives of my family were spared. But then the words of a fellow responding to a word I had made felt like acid being poured into an open wound. Oh I know he had no idea what I have been going through but the thing is people should not speak words unkindly no matter what. You just never know. Maybe I didn't make a good choice of words and I admit my mind has been somewhat scrambled of late but the game was almost at the end with only a few words left to play. Mine was #37 and I took the opportunity to play the Z. How many times is there a Z left with nowhere to play it? The point is I do know how to play this game and most of the time I feel I do fairly well. But it seems that unless you are in the elite group that has been playing for a long time you are criticized for each play you make. And the words used are so harsh and unkind. I am so thankful that most people in this world are not like that as I have seen first hand in the past couple of weeks.
