Well actually I am considering a slate pc. The point is that I need the tablet to be a "virtual piece of paper". So it's all about "writing directly on the screen".

So a laptop + wacom pad is not my choice. As for carrying a keyboard, there are now hyper compact keyboards which you can also fold.

My doubts are all about
- can I hold a small slate pc like the
doom marine holds his PDA in Doom 3?

- is on-screen drawing really comfortable and "responsive"?

- is windows tablet edition pure crap or is it good? can I replace it with the Golden OS, Windows 2000?
