When you know the answers to your questions but you'll ask them anyway.

When there's a single question you should ask, and you don't know which it is.

When the difference between white and black stays in ONE pixel you didn't see.

When black is turning into gray and one pixel gets it back to black.

When white becomes impossible.

When white becomes the colour of your flag.

Shifting enfoldment of bright colour I can see the patterns and everywhere closer and closer more patterns the same and yet different if we understand the details so fine always finer the pattern does not break it

simplifies.

Wootang Australia has a great news website. Last week an article said that "yesterday" 5 Bridge Contractors in New Orleans were shot dead in a riot.  It shook me up because my brother is a bridge contractor there but I knew it couldn't be him since he was rescued by helicopter only that morning. Well...yesterday in Wootang is today in Boulder.  It really was him but he was not shot.  I was thrilled at hearing news technically/technologically almost before it had even happened.  Makes me think of the L2 satellite projected into space in search of illusive microwaves.  To reach it's target, the trajectory path was warped and crooked - flung into space, turned and flung towards another universe.  It's a tall order to wrap your mind around a ship that can travel back to the beginning of time for this universe and photograph new universes in their infancy.

Of course bought my newest camera - no woman in her right mind should have less than 7 cameras - wanna see a self portrait? ABP how about a new tell tale shot of you!

Yikes who knew they could send junk mail to our little neighborhood so I'm changing the subject.

I walk the streets at night - sleep is impossible as I watch the chaos of my old home town, New Orleans, obsessively on television and the net.  Long past midnight I walk my neighborhood and linger in the quiet, star spattered, relative peace of my life here and, (forgive me for being cliche), count my blessings.

My family are now all accounted for, all alive, and all with nothing left of their lives in a City known for it's jazz, the never-ending parties, Mardi Gras, a remarkable heritage of Creole French, African and Indian, and a survival Spirit so strong that they watch while others shoot each other for food then turn around and rush to the aide the one they have just injured.

I do not sleep.  There are hours and hours with a brush in my hand and I paint my way out of this funk.  The two foxes that live in my yard yip all night.  Their voices like fingernails on a chalk board and I love them.  I feed my obsessions and photograph everything in site and dream of bigger and better cameras...day dream that is of a Sony Mavica FD-97.

Thanks for your words, especially Tobot who responded from a place I'd like to go but can't just yet and  FK...you are a poet, a rock and my friend. You cleanse the palette of my heartache and pointedly direct a better place for my dreams ~ sleep will come.

He stares at the gruel of sea.  There's no one else on this rusting hulk, and he feels a surge of bitterness every time he catches his flesh on a rotting edge of iron.  It has become pointless to strive for memories like duration, destination, meaning, and his mind struggle sfeebly as he gazes at the horizon.  Or where he assumes it should be; it's hard ot tell as the sky curdles with the same colourless texture of the ocean.  Perhaps it's all the same -- he has a vision of his hunk of metal suspended on the inside of a bubble, water curving overhead everywhere he's not looking.  He would dive and swim; any direction would bring him back to that distant cork, that bobbing toy, that sinking, creaking shit-pile.  A giggle bubbles through him, bursting on his lips with a film of spit.

We walk across a fractal landscape, hand in hand.  Subject to chaotic whims, we stumble over cracks infinite in scope.  Circumvent walls that extend not only as far up as can be imagined, but as far down as it is possible to travel.  We try not to be separated, but a single wrong step and she is walking at right angles, or a trillion miles below, or underneath the concrete, here paws against the soles of my feet.  One blink, and she's in the sunlight with me; another and she's where no line of sight exists.

This rather simple epitaph can save your hide, your falling mind:
Fate isn't what we're up against; there's no design no flaws to find...
