re: An example of a "15-Letter-Word" Game

I just couldn't resist putting together an example of Caveat #2, the 15-letter-word game, to show how one can easily achieve monumental scores (in this case, over 2100) by using it. Although this is considered cheating, technically this could very well be the highest score in this site's history. I dunno, since the records from the 1990s are lost forever -- it's easily in the Top 3, though.

If you made a guide I would link to it (or maybe host it), sure. Congrats on the new record! I seem to recall you saying it wouldn't be done. ;)

I would be up to the challenge possibly.  I think that I and deni/otto/teddy or any two-person combination would be able to at least make a run at the record.

A question though: don't you have a list of the best words to play on the trips, which letters fall on dls an what-not, etc.?  So wouldn't we be at sort of a disadvantage going into this thing?

I guess it took you years of playing to compile such a list and so anyone who was up to the challenge wouldn't necessarily be entitled to a peek.

Also, you do use an anagrammer to find the best words do you not?  Or do you (you being the experts) know these words by heart?  I personally never use an anagrammer when I play but I guess I would have to if I were to accept this challenge.

"I think that I and deni/otto/teddy or any two-person combination"

By this I meant that any two people of the people I mentioned.  Don't want it to sound like I was saying that I could do it with anybody else. ;-)

ok, my partner-in-crime and I have decided that to receive the comprehensive DLS List (it also includes a list of the Top 50 games), you must be a principal player in a game over 1400 (not 1500) points. With the good words given before, this isn't oppressively difficult, but it's not exactly a cakewalk either.

I hate to be a spoil-sport, but it took a while to put together... it must be earned  ;-)
